The last thing I thought I would hear after the Patriots lost to the Broncos, was coach Bill Belichick taking a shot at receiver Wes Welker. One of the things that made it easy for Welker to leave New England was how Belichick constantly harassed him.

Welker was once one of Belichick’s most productive players. He doesn’t seem like the kind of guy that would cheap shot anyone during a football game. Welker is never going to be out of Belichick’s mind. The coach needs to let his hate for Welker go already.

Belichick showed poor sportsmanship with his comments aimed at Welker. Injuries are part of the game. Belichick knows that and if you review the film as Belichick said he did, you can see the two players ran into one another.

If Welker was trying to hurt the other player on purpose he would have laid a much harder hit on the guy than he did. Get over yourself Belichick. You might go down in history as one of the best football coaches of all time, but you will also carry the label of being a poor sport with comments like you’re making about Welker.

Both guys were on the field playing at 100%, and things happen. Is it that it just happened to one of your guys and it happened by a guy you can no longer control?
