At his Monday press conference, Browns head coach talked about the way the team came together and got their first win of the season and his first win in the NFL as the team’s head coach. Chud was in a great mood and talked about a lot of different things concerning the Browns.
He quickly squashed the rumors about a Josh Gordon trade and the way it sounded, Gordon wasn’t going anywhere. The one thing Chud wouldn’t do was name his starting quarterback for this Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals are on top of the AFC North with a record of 2-1, they are tied with the Ravens who the Browns lost to in week 2.
Chudzinski said he needed more information before he names his starting quarterback. He also went on to say Brandon Weeden has not thrown a football since injuring his thumb on his throwing hand. AS to what kind of information he needed before naming his starter, he didn’t say.
The Browns have to get ready for this divisional game coming up this Sunday. Even with 2 losses they are still within reach of the top of the AFC North. Especially with Pittsburgh getting off to an 0-3 start. It is going to be important for who ever the Browns start to get plenty of reps in practice to get ready to take on this highly ranked Bengals defense.
The Browns are going to face a much tougher opponent at home this weekend than they did in Minnesota. Chudzinski shouldn’t hold back on naming the team’s starter much longer. They have to get ready for the battle of Ohio….
