Cleveland Browns defensive back Buster Skrine, started to show progress last season. Apparently, Skrine has continued to build through the naturally occurring maturing process of playing in the NFL.

O’Neil has nothing but great things to say about Skrine. Many thought Skrine would be out of a job, once the team used their first pick in this years draft on Gilbert. O’Neil says, not so fast.

He really likes what he has seen from Skrine, during the Browns OTA’s. Skrine has been all over the field, deflecting passes, reacting properly to audibles; you name it, Skrine was doing it on Wednesday.

Skrine has been more than willing, to learn all he can about the inside slot corner-back position in the classroom. This too pleases O’Neil.

According to O’Neil, he has said he is telling the receivers, “you can’t run by Buster Skrine.” That’s a good thing.

Buster Skrine was a much improved corner-back for the Cleveland Browns last year. His play on the field surprised a lot of people. If anything the Browns added a ton of depth to their defensive secondary, through agency and throught the draft.

If the Cleveland defense, plays as well on the field as it looks on paper, this Cleveland Browns team is going to hard to score on. Skrine could be a big reason why too.
