She was one of the great world leaders during her time as the Prime Minister of England. Today the world lost a great leader and a women who was a visionary. Margaret Thatcher  died of a stroke at the age of 87. The former British prime minister’s death was confirmed by her spokesman Lord Bell.

According to Reuters, Lord Tim Bell released this statement to the press; ”It is with great sadness that Mark and Carol Thatcher announced that their mother Baroness Thatcher died peacefully following a stroke this morning.”

Margaret Hilda Thatcher was born on 13 October 1925 and died 8 April 2013. She was one of the  longest-serving British politician’s. She served from 1979–1990 as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

It was said that Thatcher transformed Britain, she ruled for 11 remarkable years imposed her will on a fractious, rundown nation _ breaking the unions, triumphing in a far-off war, and selling off state industries at a record pace. She left behind a leaner government and more prosperous nation by the time a mutiny ousted her from No. 10 Downing Street.

The world will be sad with the news of her death.
