Lance started boxing when he was eight years old. Coming out of Muscatine Iowa he ended up with an amateur record of 135-16. Williams won six Iowa Golden Gloves titles. He made it to # 6 in nation one year.In several years he was rated in the Top Ten. Lance won numerous USA boxing state and midwest region titles. He was a seven time state and regional Silver Gloves titlist. Williams has been to the Junior Olympic nationals twice ranking in the top ten both years.

Lance is now a professional fighter with a record of 5-1. All five victories by knockout . He is also a full time amateur boxing coach. Williams just got home from the National Golden Gloves where he coached Martin Schuh a 165 pounder who finished 3rd in nation and Phillip Acuna a 114 pounder who took 6th.
