People will ostracize you when you stand for God

The bible says don’t think is strange when people talk about or reject for what you believe…
Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. New Living Translation (©2007)
What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man. English Standard Version (©2001)
“Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man! New American Standard Bible (©1995)
“Blessed are you when men hate you, and ostracize you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man. King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.

Luke 6:21 Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.

Rejection and abandonment: For what you believe!

The most common experiences during many forms of ostracism involve feelings of abandonment and rejection. When rejection is severe, it can feel like a knife through the heart. Ostracism is described by some as “social death”, a metaphor for how badly a person can feel on the inside. Rejection and abandonment cause strong emotional and physiological reactions within the human body, and can make some people feel like they are going crazy. When you are rejected by someone you deeply care about, you’re likely to experience a loss that may involve a grieving process. This is a common, normal experience. It is similar to what we go through when a loved one dies. Be patient with yourself and give yourself permission to grieve for as long as needed. Some of our current athletes are being ostracized for what are not ashamed of.

Timothy Richard “Tim” Tebow is an American football quarterback for the New York Jets of the National Football League. Talking about Jesus makes people nervous. It even makes other Christians nervous sometimes, too. Such is the case with ex-Cardinal QB Kurt Warner, who talked about some advice to give to up and coming Jesus-loving, then Denver quarterback Tim Tebow. His advice to the mighty man of God? Stop talking about Jesus. Isn’t it funny that when you really, truly stand for Jesus, the people who attack you? My advice to you, Kurt, is to be quiet yourself and remember the beatdown that the Steelers gave you last time you met in the Super Bowl. And my advice to you, Tim Tebow, is to keep talking about Jesus EXACTLY the way you have been. Don’t change one, single thing. SHOUT IT FROM THE TOP OF THE ASTRODOME that Jesus is coming back soon!!

Another one is Colt McCoy NFL quarterback Colt McCoy talks faith in Jesus, grace and football (video) NEW! Jesus Christ News on Facebook. Follow on Twitter On Wednesday, August 10, 2011, NFL quarterback Colt McCoy spoke with CBN sports journalist Shawn Brown regarding his faith in Jesus, grace, his new book “Growing up Colt” and his football career. McCoy is in his second year with the Cleveland Browns and overcame several injuries that could have quickly ended his career. During his interview he unabashedly gave credit and honor to Jesus Christ as he described how important his faith is in his life.… and because of this they get kicked around. Many professional athletes love the Lord and don’t try to hide it just thought I would support their effort to Lift up the Name of Jesus!  CLEVELAND (AP) – A person familiar with the deal says the Cleveland Browns have traded quarterback Colt McCoy to San Francisco. Why, Why, can’t we just Love God and Show it without the rest of the world being so angry. Tune in to my program The Sports Outreach Ministries Program 7:00 pm on Thursday Nights EST Online Live.

My feeling on the subject of being talked about should be embraced.
