The Senate on Wednesday rejected a bipartisan plan to expand background checks for gun buyers, dealing a crippling blow to President …but this was not just a gun control bill that failed.  This is another way to say to the American people that what we think  don’t matter.  The IRA and other powerful lobbist say business as usaul.  It just should show us that if we don’t vote the people that will work for the people.

Huh? Sorry but that comment makes no since. The IRA is that the Irish Republican Army (Once a terrorist organization an now a genuine political party in Ireland.)

The NRA is the National Rifle Assocation which I and many others belong too. There are other groups like JPFO (Jews For The Preservation of Firearms Ownership), AAGO (African American Gun Owners Group, Women Against Gun Control, Armed Females of America, Ohio – Buckeye Firearms Association, Ohio Pistol and Rifle Association. All of these groups which have varied memebers that do not all agree with the NRA and even each other beleive policy and legislation should be created after real research and be enacted using intelligence, not fear and emotion. The people spoke with letters, phone calls, yes, lobbyist working on their behalf. The politicians listened.

Maybe now we can step back and realize we need to take time and examine the best ways to keep people and especially our kids safe.
