The Cleveland Indians have another winning streak going. They have now won 10 of their last 11 games. Today they beat former Indians pitcher Bartolo Colon and they beat him badly. The Indians knock Colon all over the park and out of the game in the 4th inning.
By the time Colon realized his day was over the Indians had scored, 6 earned runs on the big man. Colon couldn’t get it right today. He gave up 8 hits and 2 of them were home runs. The Cleveland Indians are leading major league baseball in home runs and it doesn’t look like they’re going to slow down anytime soon.
In the first inning Jason Kipnis hit a 2 run blast off Colon. Then in the 3rd inning Nick Swisher hit his second home run in less than 24 hours, it was him and Santana who hit long balls in last nights game to give the Indians the lead.
The Cleveland Indians have power spread throughout their line-up, By the time the 5th inning was over Cleveland had 9 runs on the board and Mark Reynolds hit the last home run of the day. Reynolds now has 11 home runs this season and 29 RBI’s.
Indians pitcher Scott Kazmir turned in another good performance. He pitched 6 solid innings and gave up 5 hits and only 1 run. The concern for the Indians coming into the 2013 season was their starting pitchers. So far things couldn’t be better for the Tribes starters. If this pitching can hold up this season, Indians fans are in for a real treat.
