Ordinarily he makes us wait until Saturday before he begins to choke away his chances at winning—at least when it comes to the majors he’s competed in since 2009.

This time he shot himself in the foot right off the bat on Thursday by double bogeying the 18th hole on a course that is playing a lot more  birdie-friendly than usual due to all of the moisture its absorbed.

As I predicted, Adam Scott’s implosion at Bridgestone last week would have no bearing whatsoever on his chances to win at Oak Hill since he drives the ball so much better than Tiger (or pretty much anyone else) does.

Tiger is so deep in his own head (by over-thinking and pressing) that I doubt he’ll make up ground over the weekend (assuming he even makes the cut) when the course dries up and low scores are harder to come by…
